FOLDED REALITIES

From Place to Imagination

Creating each piece is a meticulous process that can take many hours. Every perspective is carefully adjusted, every architectural line precisely aligned, until the composition achieves a natural visual balance. The challenge is not to recreate the reality, but to invent one that carries the identity of the place that inspired it.

RISING SHAMS I & II - Dubai - 2025

Inspired by the tranquil beauty of Bab Al Shams, Rising Shams reimagines the Al Qudra desert landscape through photographic manipulations that blur the boundaries between architecture and nature. Printed on metal with sublimation, the surface enhances the warm light of the sun and evokes the peaceful rhythm of the sand. Created for the collective exhibition Beyond the City 3 with Féminin Pluriel, Rising Shams I & II was first exhibited at the Mercedes-Benz Brand Center in Dubai Design District.

RÊVERIES - Dubai - 2022

Rêveries explores the memory of al Shindagha in Dubai through layered photography and experimental printing techniques. The artwork is composed from the overlay of 8 photographs taken at the same location. The monochromatic palette, enhanced by gold and light, evokes the timeless character of the district. Presented at DEEP Gallery in Dubai as part of a collective exhibition with Féminin Pluriel, Reveries reflects an ongoing exploration of how photography, material and light can transform our perception of architecture and the places we remember.

SO UPTOWN - KALEIDOSCOPE PROJECT - Dubai - 2022

Commissioned by Capsule Arts for SO/ Uptown hotel in Dubai, Kaleidoscope is a large-scale installation composed of 3 photographic works. Each artwork was produced across multiple layers of acrylic, creating depth and allowing the architecture to shift as the viewer moves through the space. By capturing and overlaying these perspectives of the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, familiar elements are reassembled into compositions that could never exist in reality, yet retain the identity and rhythm of the original place.
